The Characters/The Cast

The year is 1942, OLIVE MacCLARE (played by Catie Urquhart) receives a telegram recruiting her to be a code-breaker at Bletchley Park outside. There she meets a talented group teenagers dedicated to breaking German Enigma codes.



HUGH MacCLARE (played by Aiden Ouweleen), a child evacuee, is separated from his mother, father and sister, who are doing their part in the war effort.

JUDITH KNOX (played by Caroline Lewis) becomes Olive's new best friend.  But is Judith hiding a secret?

BABS DALTON (played by Addie Warnacke) is a fun spirited party girl, who happens to be an expert in reading maps.

REGINALD CRAWLEY JAMES (played by Kenneth Neighbors) is  young aristocrat whose parents bought his way out of the war.  Reginald's sense of entitlement allows him to speak his mind and in the process, he makes both friends and enemies.

RUFUS SHAWCROSS (played by Jack Eames) is charged with supervising the work of the young code breakers.

TREAVER WHEATON (played by Will Asher) is Rufus's trusted assistant.

AARON BENSON (played by Dov Wallack), a young Jewish chess player, learns he is fighting not only for his country, but for his family.

GORDON MCKAY (played by Jalen Essick) has returned from the war with injuries to his body and soul.

CLARA TOWNSEND (played by Emma Lin) is all business. She tries to keep everyone in line, but rarely succeeds.

DOROTHY WICKHAM (played by Anna McEntee), the youngest of the code breakers, is angry because she wants the respect of the other cryptographers.

MIMI HOWES (played by Karoline Perryman) works in a tea shop but yearns to do more to serve the war effort.

SHEBA WRETCHINGTON (played by Charlotte Laseter) is an English school girl, secretly mourning the loss of her brother.

Olive discovers there is a spy among them. Which one of the code breakers is the enemy?
